nothing is wrong. you need to add an effect or a transition to the clip. the Inspector is where you change the settings for applied effects. Until you add an effect, there's nothing to display there. Along the very bottom of the interface are seven pages. You need to be in Edit, Fairlight, Colour or Deliver to apply a Data Burn-In. I'm only able to see that checkbox enabled on my Studio system, and not in the Free version. Those particular settings are also for hardware monitoring - if you don't have a Decklink or Ultrastudio, most of those "Video Monitoring" settings do ...nothing is wrong. you need to add an effect or a transition to the clip. the Inspector is where you change the settings for applied effects. Lets start with one node first and make sure you can select that. Then add a second and see if that works.
